Goal Setting Exercise

Goal Visualizing Exercise

A slightly different activity than the usual Fun Friday, we have a Visualization Exercise in the office instead for the rest of the afternoon. How we prepped? Whiteboard, markers, post-it notes (that actually sticks!), pen, and of course our dreamy brains. Except, we have all intentions to turn those dreams into reality.

Step 1:
Visualize who you will be in 1 month and think about what you will gain from the goal.

Step 2:
Write just that ONE goal down on the post-it note, stick it on the board and talk through it in front of your colleagues.

Step 3:
Quick round-table discussion with the team about how the goal benefits you, e.g. becoming a better person, losing body fat etc.

Step 4:
Repeat Steps 1-3, this time visualizing at different points in time: 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months respectively.

Sounds simple, but it is very effective for self-motivation and keeping you focus on your goals. You can even do it at shorter intervals of time, be it monthly, weekly or even, daily?! Our team members here at ChromaBit sure have it going, Dean wants to be a successful blogger and Reza wants to own his own Production House in future! Just like how ChromaBit’s motto goes – Whatever you are thinking, think bigger.

“You need a plan to build a house. To build a life, it is even more important to have a plan or goal.” – Zig Ziglar
